To Share or not to Share

Hey all, Fred Moople here with more stimulating intellectual banter.

The question for today is how much should you share on social media?

I have friends who pretty much share every event of their lives, so after following them for sometime, I feel like I have been with them for all of their twists and turns and ups and downs. I have been on vacation with them, seen their pet put down and watched them reno their house. However, how much sharing is too much?

I will give you an example: This morning I had one of the best bowel movements of all time. I am telling you it was exceptional in size, diameter and color. A real prize-winner, assuming there is a prize for such things. Does the world book of records have a category for best stool (and I don’t mean chair!)?

Should I have captured the moment for Instagram? Shared my happy face on Facebook? Tweeted my ecstasy? All tough calls and I am sure would have been appreciated by some and roundly condemned by others. Would it have been too much?

As for me, I was pretty proud of my performance and wanted others to appreciate my prowess with the porcelain facility, but in the end (ha ha), I decided not to share. It will remain my own private little moment.

Let me know how you feel about this.

Your humble and empty servant, Fred Moople
